DPDP Compliance
Last updated: September 2026 · Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (Act No. 22 of 2023)
1. Our commitment
ART (Augmented Reality Table Menu), at armenu.art, is provided by The Guardian Group LLC. We handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This page explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights. Read it together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
2. Diners
Guests who scan an ART table QR code do not create an account, install an app or log in. We do not collect diners’ names, phone numbers or other personal details when they browse a menu or view dishes in 3D.
3. Data we collect from restaurant partners
When a restaurant owner or manager registers for an ART account or asks for help with setup, we collect:
- Personal details: the owner or manager’s full name, business email address and mobile number.
- Restaurant details: the trade name, outlet address and GSTIN (for tax compliance).
4. Why we use it
We use this data only to set up and run your ART account, send invoices, give technical support and provide the AR menu service. We never sell it, and we never use it for third-party marketing.
Keeping accurate contact details is part of our service contract with you. We need them to create your login, send invoices, support you and run your table menus. This processing falls under the “certain legitimate uses” provision in Section 7 of the DPDP Act, 2023.
5. Your consent
Where we rely on your consent, it must be clear and given by you. We never treat a pre-ticked box or silence as consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your contact details securely while your subscription is active. After you cancel, you can ask us to permanently delete your personal records and 3D dish files. We will delete or anonymise them within 30 days. The only exception is billing records we must keep for 7 years under GST law.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you,
- correct or update it,
- ask us to delete it, and
- withdraw your consent.
8. Grievance Officer
To use any of these rights or raise a concern about your data, contact our Grievance Officer:
- Email: support at armenu dot art with the subject line “DPDP Privacy Request”
- Phone:
- Response time: we acknowledge every request within 48 hours and resolve it, or tell you where it stands, within 30 days.
